Awardees

There are 3 categories of awards the MFC bestows outside of championship performance. The Coach of the Year award is, at the MFC Championships, presented to a coach with outstanding team impact, integrity, and communication. The Sportsmanship Award is presented at Championships to a club program that exhibits, throughout the reason, outstanding sportsmanship in the conference.

All-MFC Team selections are based on individual performance over the season (tracked on bouts.app). For each weapon/gender category, the top 12 (T-12) MFC fencers that have competed in at least 12 bouts over the season are eligible for an All-MFC Award. The fencers finishing first through fourth in each category(i.e. Women's Sabre, Men’s Epee) shall be designated “First Team All-MFC,” the fencers finishing fifth through eighth in each category shall be designated “Second Team All-MFC,” and the fencers finishing ninth through twelfth in each category shall be designated “Honorable Mention All-MFC.”
